In 1985, Dr. Lynn began his career with Dr. Bizer’s Vision World, where he quickly rose through the ranks to become a partner. In 1998, he purchased the practice and grew it into a successful chain. Over the years, Dr. Mark Lynn & Associates owned and operated more than 90 Visionworks offices across Kentucky, Georgia, Mississippi, Missouri, Tennessee, and Indiana.

In 2021, after selling the Visionworks locations, Dr. Lynn returned to his roots in family-focused care by opening Lynn Family Sports Vision and Training. His new practice offered Sports Vision Training and innovative Concussion/TBI Therapies.  In January of 2024, Dr. Lynn return to routine optometric care with the opening of Lynn Family Vision.  This locally owned practice serves the Louisville community with a wide range of services, including routine optometry, glasses, contact lenses, sunglasses, and specialized treatments such as concussion and traumatic brain injury (TBI) therapy and sports vision training.

 

Dr. Lynn continues to emphasize the importance of personalized, high-quality care, offering state-of-the-art technology at competitive prices.

For over 30 years, Dr. Lynn has been dedicated to improving the vision and quality of life for his patients, and today, Lynn Family Vision carries on that commitment to excellence.

Dr. Rashid Omar joined the team at Lynn Family Vision in December 2023. He was born in Zambia. He went to High School and started College in England. He obtained his undergraduate degree from Indiana University Bloomington. Dr. Omar completed his Doctor of Optometry degree from Indiana University Bloomington in 1987.

 

He is licensed in Indiana and Kentucky with 35+ years of Clinical experience in Eye Care. He was Chief of Staff of a large group of 36 Offices in Kentucky and Indiana. He is accomplished and dedicated to taking care of his patients. He is passionate about treating patients suffering from a wide range of refractive errors and eye diseases, including glaucoma, cataracts, infections, diabetes and macular degeneration. Also, Cataract and Refractive Surgery post-operative care.

 

He enjoys spending time with his family and friends, traveling, watching sports and eating out at different restaurants.

Dr. Green is a seasoned optometrist with a wealth of experience and a deep commitment to eye health. Graduating from the University of Alabama at Birmingham in 2013, she began her career under the mentorship of Dr. Lynn, where she honed her skills over nearly a decade. During this time, she assisted in sports vision therapy, providing athletes with tailored eye care to enhance their performance.

Her extensive clinical background includes rotations in pediatrics, ocular disease management, contact lens fittings, and primary eye care, equipping her with a comprehensive understanding of diverse patient needs. Outside of her professional endeavors, Dr. Green cherishes moments with her husband and two boys. An enthusiastic traveler and avid hiker, she embraces outdoor adventures that foster family bonds and personal well-being.  Dr. Green remains dedicated to delivering exceptional eye care, combining expertise, compassion, and a commitment to improving her patients' vision and quality of life.
